Walls and roof top the long list of uses
EverGreen™ has proven to be practical, appropriate and aesthetically pleasing in many areas where standard copper could be used. Wall cladding has emerged as the most popular architectural application, opening up bold new design possibilities. Because of the vertical orientation, sidewalls with plain copper usually are among the slowest applications to achieve patina maturity. This fact makes pre-patinated copper especially valuable in this type of application. EverGreen sheets are easily installed and instantly create a striking elegance on walls of all shapes and sizes. Roofing is the other major use for this progressive material, and it has also been applied effectively on hung-molded gutters, other rainwater systems, fascias, mansards, spandrels and numerous architectural accents. Churches, universities, government buildings, banks, museums, offices and private residences can all be enhanced and beautified by EverGreen. EverGreen is not for every job There are, of course, some places where Revere does not suggest using EverGreen, such as hidden applications or those subject to abuse or damage. This includes, but is not limited to, in-wall flashings, areas or flashings below slate or cedar shingles, areas above FreedomGray™ Z-T Alloy Coated Copper, built-in gutters and locked & soldered flat-seam |
roofing where the patina may be damaged by abrasion or standing water. If you are considering a unique or unusual application, we urge you to contact Revere's Architectural services for assistance before beginning design or installation. (1-800-448-1776 ext. 2474 or 2707) Upgrade for the future, maintain the look of the past. Some historic restorations may be ideal candidates for EverGreen. For example, an original copper roof which has naturally patinated over the years may be replaced with an EverGreen roof, avoiding any unsettling change to bare copper. An immediate, precise match for the mature patina is not possible, but EverGreen pre-patinated copper can certainly help maintain the familiar, historic feel, and complement the building's overall appearance. While not always recommended, small repairs to areas of existing architectural copper may also be achieved. Again, color variations make exact matching impossible, but the pre-patinated look of EverGreen offers a far more harmonious result than a standard copper patch in the middle of a mature area of patina.
